Mana Presents Third Exhibit Tambayan at Kwentuhan in Juneau
April 14, 2026
Juneau, Alaska — Mana is excited to premier their third exhibit titled Tambayan at Kwentuhan at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center (JACC) for the month of May.
Tambayan at Kwntuhan is a collection of seven elder stories from the original interviews Mana conducted in 2023. This exhibit lets you step into the living and dinning rooms of our elders as they tell rich community history through portraits, words, and physical belongings.
Inspired by the Filipino tradition of coming together to talk story, reflect, and connect, the exhibit invites visitors to slow down, listen, and learn history in a shared space. On view for the entire month of May, Tambayan at Kwentuhan opens with a First Friday reception on May 1st from 4-6 pm at the JACC. A story circle workshop designed to center lived experience and collective memory will be facilitated by Mana on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 2 p.m. No sign-up required for workshop; you are welcome to join us in person day of.
An online experience is also available beginning May 1 on the Mana website at https://www.manaalaska.com/exhibits, so everyone is welcome within our home.
